In honor of my new blog, I wanted to feature one of my favorite new grooming lines; Buster’s Skin Care for Men.
Based in Ontario, California, Buster’s was founded and developed by mastermind, David McCasey. Originally, the idea was to launch three core products, but at the time of launch there are now 20 pieces for skin, shave, hair, body and anti-aging.
“We’re concerned with helping provide a healthy environment for generations to come; that means using eco-friendly ingredients that are grown and produced from all over the planet,” says McCasey.
Packaged in jade green bottles, and sporting the brand’s English Bulldog mascot, each product uses the finest natural raw ingredients. The products are so natural and organic that they are biodegradable, meaning they’re not only good for your skin, but good for our planet too.
DO NOT BUY FROM BUSTER’S ON THEIR WEBSITE. I ordered some products from the Buster’s website after buying a product of theirs in a store. After my card was charged (via PayPal), it took about 12 days for PayPal to notify me that my product was shipped. Two weeks later, I still had not received my product and the USPS site (when using my tracking #) simply said that the Post Office had been notified of the order, but nothing about it being placed. Now, nearly 6 weeks after my order was placed, I have written to Buster’s about 5 different times and have not received a single response. I also called about a dozen times, but EVERY SINGLE TIME, THE LINE IS BUSY (it’s as if they leave the phone off the hook… or have no phone number). I have not received my order and am working with PayPal on a refund; I have also reported the company to the Better Business Bureau.
Bottom line is that the company does have good products, but it’s a horribly run business with zero customer service. I realize it’s a new business with some kinks to be worked out, but this lack of service (or at least a response that lets me know they’re working on the issue) is simply inexcusable. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR WEBSITE. If you have to try the product, find another vendor, but don’t get hooked on the product… they way Mr. McCasey is running his business, Buster’s won’t be around for long.
